Pongamos que hablo de Madrid - Joaquin Sabina

There where the roads cross,
where the sea can’t be conceived,
where returns always the fugitive,
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

Where the desire travels by elevators
a hole is left for me,
that I leave my life in your corners…
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

Girls no longer want to be princesses
and boys try to chase the sea
in a glass of gin …
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

Birds visit the psychiatrist,
the stars they forget to go out
death happens in white ambulances…
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

The sun is a butane stove,
life’s a metro on the verge of leaving,
there’s a syringe in the sink…
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

When Death comes to visit me
take me to the South where I was born
Here there’s no room for anyone
Let's put that I speak about Madrid

Donde habita el olvido - Joaquín Sabina

When she woke up,
she didn't remember anything
of the last night
Too many beers,
she said, when she looked my head,
near hers, over the pillow

And I kissed her again…
But it wasn't yesterday
but tomorrow
And an insolent sun,
like a thief,
came through the window

The day she came,
she had blue bag under her eyes
and mud in his heel.
Naked, but strange,
the raw daylight discovered us.
The lier night was broken.
It was time to go,
and she left me without saying
call me one day
From the balcony I saw her
lose into the crowd
of the Gran Vía

And the life go on
The same way as the things
that don't have any sense
One time, long ago,
a common friend told me
that he saw her
where the oblivion lives
where the oblivion lives
where the oblivion lives

The pupil saved
a red traffic light,
a rucksack and a Peugeot
and those short-sighted eyes
and the blood running fast
inside my veins
and a sand cloud
inside my heart
and this spell of love,
without appetite.
The kisses I lost because
I don't know how to say
I need you

And the life go on
The same way as the things
that don't have any sense
One time, long ago,
a common friend told me
that he saw her
where the oblivion lives
where the oblivion lives
where the oblivion lives
